Pause

Let me take a minute and pause for a moment. 
There is so much I don't want to think about.
The time I embarrassed myself,
the future that I know I will never have.
Dwelling on the wrongs,
fighting with my thoughts.
In the silent room, all by myself.

Let me take a minute and pause for a moment.
The earth will still revolve,
the life will still go on. 
But I will be close somewhere,
away from the world and its affairs. 
No pain that I will remember,
No time that will miss.
